City of Victory – Hampi Vijayanagara
Photography Exhibition and Book Release; Event Supported by the Australian Consulate
Since 1980, the authors have mapped Vijayanagara’s layout, documented its standing structures and worked closely with ward-winning photographer John Gollings to covey the drama of Vijayanagara’s landscape and architectural forms.
This event is a unique opportunity to witness Michell and Gollings in conversation about the process that has resulted in this evocative and beautifully produced volume.
Programme
January 2026
The programme will begin with a talk/discussion by author George Michell and photographer John Gollings and a formal book launch in the auditorium. This will be followed by a curated walk-through of the photographs displayed in the adjoining gallery.
The exhibition will remain open for seven days thereafter.
